Many materials have been used historically to correct deep facial wrinkles and folds. The currently available materials are safer and longer lasting than previously available products.

Fillers vary in their thickness, composition, and longevity. We use different products in different areas of the face, including the lips, the folds around the mouth, and the cheeks.

Dr. Schmidt’s training in facial plastic surgery helps him decide which product is safest and best suited to the particular needs of your face.

These treatments are done in the office with a topical numbing cream. Numbing medicine is often mixed into the fillers as well for a more comfortable experience.
